Carly and I went through a 10-month-long Americorps program together in New Hampshire over a decade ago. We picked a spot at a lake high in the mountains not far from Salida. We snapped a few photos by the lake then walked a nearby trail to find more beautiful scenery. Plus, their son such a great little adventurer!

We let the little ones run, jump, climb, and play as they do best. After the kids got their fill by the water we took a short drive across the river to a hill overlooking Salida and the surrounding peaks.
