Winter Mountain Engagement Session in Salida, Colorado

I’m so glad this couple booked their winter engagement session in Salida, Colorado. Jackie and Andrew are both from Michigan and drove all the way to Colorado for the second year in a row for a winter vacation. They booked a half-day adventure for engagement session in Nathrop/Salida. We came up with a bunch of awesome locations to visit before sunset, which is one of the many advantages of a longer session!

Winter Woods Outdoor Maternity Session in Durham, New Hampshire

Jess reached out last summer to share the news that she was expecting her first child with the hope that she might schedule a winter maternity session. It worked out perfectly to fit in the midst of my trip to visit family for the holiday season. We hiked through College Woods in Durham and the light was so gorgeous. Jess brought her two dogs along, including her young golden retriever puppy! I just about passed out from joy.

Newborn Family Lifestyle and Fun by the River Adventure Session in Salida, Colorado

This early winter indoor/outdoor session capturing a family with a newborn and little boy was so fun. I’m grateful I got to connect with Jessie and Josh who are the local business owners of Ovierre Industries. Since December weather is a little chilly for capturing a newborn’s sweet features, we split our session between their family home and an outdoor area along the river in Salida. Even though we didn’t have snow in town in December, I always find our dried grasses pretty and the winter light magical.

4th Annual Moose Mountains RunAround and Kids Snowshoe Shuffle

Bright sunlight. 4 inches of fresh powder. Just over a mile of trail weaving through stunning hemlock-beech-oak-pine forest. An intrepid crowd of snowshoe racers made their way around the course loop twice at a local ski area in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
