Snowy Mountain Family Session in Twin Lakes, Colorado

I had so much fun capturing these family photos in Twin Lakes with my friend and fellow photographer, Kimi (check out Kimi D Photography). It was quite cold with fresh fallen snow and beautiful sunshine. We moved around to a few different locations in Twin Lakes, which helped everyone warm up in the car in between each spot. It was so fun to have another photographer as my subject because she jumped in with great ideas for photos! Her whole family was adorable. I’m also a sucker for sentimental knitwear, like her daughters beautiful handmade sweater.

For the last few shots of the session I used my telephoto lens to capture the family on top of a hill. It reminded me of end of the Sound of the Music with the Von Trapps climbing over the mountains!
