Early autumn big adventure session in Twin Lakes with a beautiful couple and their dog. We captured campsite portraits and wandered through the aspen groves. One of my favorite moments was having them set up their hammock with their family cuddled up together. Bonus: we captured their vow renewal in their wedding attire, too!

Sam and Jess reached out months ahead of their September trip to Colorado about an adventure session. We got to know each other better as we explored the area and they are just all around great people. I loved how Jess wore hiking boots with her summery dress. I appreciate getting to spend time with wonderful people in spectacular places.

We hiked around Monarch Pass near Salida, Colorado and got to take in views in all directions. Brittany and Brent got more and more comfortable as the session went on and the light just kept getting better, too.

Jackie and Andrew are both from Michigan and drove all the way to Colorado for the second year in a row for a winter vacation. They booked a half-day adventure for engagement session in Nathrop/Salida. We came up with a bunch of awesome locations to visit before sunset, which is one of the many advantages of a longer session!
Read MoreWe met at the trailhead at 5 a.m. and began our hike in the dusk. Once we made it to the aspen groves, first light started piercing into the forest. We had a blast playing in the golden light. Clouds rolled in just as we ventured into an open meadow, but it provided a perfectly soft filter for the light. What a dream!

We decided to explore the Arkansas Hills in Salida for their engagement session, which provided gorgeous views of town, Mount Ouray, and the Collegiate Peaks.
