You can’t really beat a summer evening on the top of Cottonwood Pass. The views seem to go on forever. Sam and Jess reached out months ahead of their September trip to Colorado about an adventure session. We got to know each other better as we explored the area and they are just all around great people. I loved how Jess wore hiking boots with her summery dress. I appreciate getting to spend time with wonderful people in spectacular places.

We first met at the trailhead for one of their favorite hikes. After we hiked a short distance, we returned to our cars and drove to Cottonwood Lake. It ended up working in our favor because it meant no one was at the beach on a Saturday evening in August. Plus, the lighting and the fog was gorgeous!
