Columbia River Gorge Senior Portraits | Portland, Oregon Outdoor Photography

I am so grateful to my family in Portland, Oregon for hosting me last September so that I could photograph one of my cousin’s daughters, Lillian, for her senior portraits. Although I didn’t get to see my West Coast family too often growing up in Maine, having a bicoastal family as an adult is kind of amazing. Now that I live in the Rocky Mountains, both coasts feel accessible to visit!

Lillian chose to have her portraits done in a natural area along the Columbia River Gorge and wanted a place to explore. We lucked out with beautiful light and an epic sunset. Lillian had such great energy and we had so much fun creating these portraits together. I’m glad she was game for climbing on rocks and walking barefoot. These photos still feel like a dream to me! Maybe it was because it was a whirlwind trip or maybe it was because everything came together so beautifully. I feel transported when I look at the photos of Lillian walking along the shore.
