Morning in the Mountains Family Adventure Session in Buena Vista, Colorado

Dew clung to the August wildflowers and fog hung over the Arkansas River Valley when I met Kendal’s family in the early morning light. We explored parts of San Isabel National Forest at the base of the Collegiate Peaks between Buena Vista and Salida, Colorado. Needless to say, it was a stunning morning. I’m so grateful I got to capture their first ever professional family portraits amongst the pines, aspens, and meadows. When the oldest daughter asked to hold my hand on the walk back to our cars my heart nearly burst. Winning over a kid is one of the best feelings a family photographer can get! I loved this family and hope to plan more adventures in the future!
