Ice Storm on Mount Agamenticus

We experienced the Christmas 2017 Ice Storm in New Hampshire and Maine and thankfully didn't lose power. After the Halloween wind storm and outage we had at our cabin in the woods for 84 hours, I'll forever have a little more perspective. On Christmas Eve I spent the day alternating between taking pictures and warming up by the heater on the summit of Mount Agamenticus in York, Maine. It was a surreal landscape as the ice hit the exposed habitat at the summit with more intensity than the expansive forest below. At around 10,000 acres, the Mount Agamenticus Conservation Region is one of the last undeveloped forests in coastal New England. I had fun exploring the otherworldly frozen tundra with Solstice. I hope you enjoy the window into the icey natural world!
