Mountain Valley Senior Portraits and Family Adventure in Salida, Colorado

While this family had been to Colorado many times, this was their first visit to Salida. I gave them a few different options for locations because the scenery around here is so varied and spectacular. I’d been wanting to shoot at this property and was so glad when they choose this location in the valley. We explored the forest edges, fields, and creek area to find different backdrops. This sweet high school senior was the star of the shoot, but her family (and new puppy!) also came along for the adventure. They were so supportive! As we explored the trails on the property, I made sure to capture some family portraits as well. It was such a beautiful morning and I’m so grateful I got to spend it with this family!
