White Mountain National Forest: Welch and Dickey

It was one of those perfect October days when it’s crisp in the morning, but warm in the midday sun. This is one of my favorite hikes ever since a friend introduced me to the Welch and Dickey trail 5 years ago. It’s a great hike along a wooded stream, over rocks and roots, passing through a few glacial erratics, too. Once up on the granite I marveled at the maples, blueberries and bursts of color everywhere. It was Solstice’s third time doing this hike and you could tell by how he raced up the granite boulders!
